The majority of visits at YCM Wellness are virtual, held via secure video so you can be seen from anywhere. In-person visits are available by appointment only and reserved for specific procedures like pellet therapy. When in doubt, if your confirmation doesn't say "In-Person," plan to connect by video.

What will my first visit look like? Your first visit is the Wellness Starting Point — a 45-minute virtual consultation where Yolanda reviews your full health history, symptoms, goals, medications, and supplements. If you have recent labs, those can be reviewed during this visit as well. By the end, you'll have a clear, personalized plan including which testing tier is right for your goals. Labs are then ordered before your follow-up.

Do I need labs before my first visit? Not necessarily. If you have labs from the past three months, you can upload them through the patient portal and Yolanda will review them during your Starting Point visit. If you don't have recent labs, that's fine — the right panel will be determined at your Starting Point and ordered before your follow-up appointment, where results are reviewed and your structured treatment plan is built.

YCM Wellness operates as a direct-pay practice and does not bill insurance for visits. This model allows for longer appointments, individualized care, and treatment approaches that may not always be available in traditional insurance-based settings.
However, when possible, prescriptions and lab orders can be sent in a way that allows patients to use their insurance benefits.
Coverage for medications and lab testing depends on your individual insurance plan and cannot be guaranteed. Patients are responsible for verifying their own benefits.
Visits and services may also be eligible for payment using Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) depending on your plan.
Upon request, we can provide a superbill that patients may submit to their insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

If a question requires medical decision-making, lab interpretation, or discussion of a new health concern, a follow-up appointment may be recommended to ensure adequate time for proper care.
