Your first visit is a comprehensive consultation focused on understanding your complete health picture.
Before your appointment, patients typically complete intake forms and either submit recent lab results or have labs ordered through YCM Wellness. Reviewing labs ahead of time allows the visit to focus on interpreting results and developing a personalized care plan.
During the visit we review your symptoms, medical history, medications, supplements, lifestyle factors, and health goals. Based on this information, treatment recommendations may include lifestyle changes, supplements, medications, or hormone optimization when appropriate.
Initial visits are typically longer than traditional primary care appointments to allow adequate time for discussion and education
-
In most cases, yes.
Patients may upload recent labs completed within the past three months or have labs ordered through YCM Wellness prior to the visit. Reviewing labs ahead of time allows the consultation to focus on interpreting results and creating a personalized treatment plan.
-
YCM Wellness operates as a direct-pay practice and does not bill insurance for visits. This model allows for longer appointments, individualized care, and treatment approaches that may not always be available in traditional insurance-based settings.
However, when possible, prescriptions and lab orders can be sent in a way that allows patients to use their insurance benefits.
Coverage for medications and lab testing depends on your individual insurance plan and cannot be guaranteed. Patients are responsible for verifying their own benefits.
Visits and services may also be eligible for payment using Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) depending on your plan.
Upon request, we can provide a superbill that patients may submit to their insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
-
Patients may contact the clinic by secure message, phone, or email for administrative needs such as scheduling or medication refill requests.
If a question requires medical decision-making, lab interpretation, or discussion of a new health concern, a follow-up appointment may be recommended to ensure adequate time for proper care.
-
Messages are typically returned within 48 business hours.
YCM Wellness is not an urgent care or emergency service. For urgent medical concerns, please contact your primary care provider or seek emergency care.
